“Siddhartha” is a
timeless literary work by Hermann Hesse,
a German poet and writer who received
the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1946.
It tells the story of two young men from
Brahmin families, Siddhartha and
Govinda. Both were determined to find
the truth until they met the Buddha.
Govinda decided to be ordained in
Buddhism. Although he intended to learn
and adhere to the Buddha's
teachings, he did not realize the truth
and enlightenment, which is the ultimate
goal. Meanwhile, Siddhartha refused to
follow in the Buddha's path. He
turned to learn about the world, seeking
Dharma, truth, and reality in his own
way, but eventually achieved the
