Mother’s Day in Thailand is celebrated on August 12, marking the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother. Globally, the observance dates vary, often occurring between March and May to align with the spring season.

        While Thai traditions center on presenting jasmine garlands and sharing family dinners, diverse cultures observe this occasion through unique customs:

  • Japan: Gifting red carnations, cards, and presents alongside a shared family meal.

  • United States: Fathers and children prepare and serve breakfast to mothers in bed.

  • United Kingdom: Children return home to gift daffodils and attend church with their families.

  • Mexico: Mothers are serenaded in the morning with the traditional song Las Mañanitas, performed by family members or hired musicians beneath their window.

        Because a mother's love never rests, showing our love doesn't require a holiday or an expensive gift. A tighter hug, a few more tender words, and every day can become a special celebration for the family.

  • Australia: Chrysanthemums are traditionally presented, owing to the word ending with "mum."
