The Academic
Resource Center invites you to change
your routines, minimize salt intake, and
celebrate WORLD KIDNEY DAY
2025.
Kidney disease, high blood pressure,
diabetes, and heart disease are
classified as noncommunicable diseases
(NCDs). NCDs are diseases caused by an
unhealthy lifestyle, such as eating
overly sweet or salty foods, especially
saltiness from salt, fish sauce,
seasonings, and hidden sodium sources
including MSG, baking powder,
preservatives, and additives.
Consumers can limit
their salt consumption on their own,
even when eating out, by lowering
seasoning, drinking less soup, and not
dipping in too much sauce.
