Every year on July 16th,
the world celebrates "World Snake
Day." This day aims to foster a
more accurate understanding of these
often-misunderstood co-inhabitants of
our planet.
Snakes are super important for
keeping nature in balance, and
they're also a good sign of how
healthy an ecosystem is. If snake
numbers drop, it can actually cause a
whole bunch of problems for the
environment.
Sure, some snakes are venomous,
but honestly, most of them won't
hurt us if we just leave them alone. A
lot of the fear people have about snakes
usually comes from misunderstandings,
wrong info, or just being a bit freaked
out by how they look.
