Emojis are symbols that represent items, places, and different face emotions. They reflect a development in digital communication as a universal language for emotions, fills gaps that conventional text cannot.
These little symbols
originated in Japan but were not
generally adopted until the iPhone added
emojis as a keyboard option. These
little icons, help to enhance emotion,
decrease ambiguity, and overcome
language barriers.
