The NDL Image Bank is a public-domain digital gallery of the National Diet Library, the national library in Japan. The website has thousands of out-of-copyright Japanese artworks and images from our library’s extensive collection transformed into a digital version so that it is accessible to the public.
Free access is available at https://ndlsearch.ndl.go.jp/en/imagebank. Some images can be downloaded for free. A few parts are still under contract and can only be downloaded through NDL.
