Crispy Vegetables: How to bake them crispy
Get to know “Crispy Vegetables”, a popular snack of the era. Most of the crispy vegetables that are sold are imported from China. But there are some brands that are made in Thailand.
There are 4 methods of producing crispy vegetables that are sold in the market.
1. Frying in oil at 180 degrees will give you crispy fruits and vegetables. But it may have a rancid smell later, color, smell change and nutrients decrease.
2. Vacuum frying. it is fried in oil in a vacuum fryer. By using a temperature below 60 degrees Celsius, which will help preserve the color and aroma of vegetables better than normal frying. While frying, the machine will shake off the oil, making the vegetables crispy and not greasy.
3. Freeze-drying is the process of removing water from food by freezing the food and then “sublimating” the ice crystals in the food into steam without heat. Fruits and vegetables processed by this method have color, smell and nutritional value that are closest to the fresh ones.
4. Dehydrate is a drying method that slowly expels moisture from vegetables and fruits. It may use a dryer or use solar heat. Fruits and vegetables will look sticky, darker color and not completely dry
Having crispy fruits and vegetables should be chosen without salt or less seasoning.
To reduce the amount of sodium you get in each meal and should choose to buy products with quality assurance. There is a label indicating the source of production, ingredients, and a table of nutrition clearly displayed.
