Olympic Games Paris 2024

        There is only one day until the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, also known as the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, kick off in Paris, France. This time around, 184 countries and 10,500 athletes will compete. Over the course of 17 days, 32 sports will compete for 329 gold medals and a total of more than 1,000 medals.

        The host country, France, has taken benefit from the fact that the entire world is watching the Olympic Games by blending culture and tourism into the competition in every way possible, such as embedding scrap metal from the construction of the Eiffel Tower into the medals and constructing temporary arenas around Paris landmarks such as the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, and the Place de la Concorde. The opening ceremony will be held on the Seine River, rather than in the stadium, as it has in the past.
