Halloween is derived from the English "All Hallows Eves," which means "the day before the celebration of all saints." The tradition started with the Celts of Europe, who believed that October 31st marked the day when the dead and living worlds will be joined. The spirits of people who died in the year before will seek out the bodies of the living and reappear. Various activities rose up, such as dressing up as a ghost, making loud sounds, shutting off lights and fires, and adorning homes with various symbols to scare off ghosts, devils, and evil.
Nowadays, Halloween is an enjoyable holiday. The most fun activity for youngsters in this event is dressing up and walking from door to door asking trick or Treat will be selected to fool the ghosts or hand sweets and candies.
For older people, there can be a fancy dress party, playing haunted house, gathering to share ghost tales, and watching ghost or horror movies.
