Seablite (suaeda maritima) is a local vegetable that common found in the mangrove forest. Its grown well in saline soil, brackish water and salt water tolerant. Normally, fresh suaeda maritima usually used for cooking such as being an ingredient for curry, salad, and served with dipping. The fresh seablite can’t be stored for a longer time. The dried leek is an ingredient in making snacks that most Thai people like to eat, such as Kanom Kuicheai and Khanom Kao Krieb Pak Mo.

The results of the sensory satisfaction test of consumers for all 5 factors including; taste, color, smell, salinity and preference found that chives steamed buns with seablite have not received the satisfaction of consumers as they should, compared to traditional Chinese chives dessert because the saltiness of the leek is still too much. As for the steamed rice-skin dumplings, it was found that the consumers' satisfaction was at a good level. Because it is an interesting and exotic product, although it still retains the flavor of licorice. But it still shows the unique identity of this local vegetable.
