The State Opening of the Parliament is a ceremony held by the National Parliament or the National Legislative Assembly following the completion of elections and the selection of members of the House of parliament and the convening of the National Assembly's first ordinary session. As Head of State, His Majesty the King will come to preside over and deliver a speech to open the parliament and bless the meeting.

It is currently a ceremony that is specified in the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand B.E. 2560.

The first of the State opening of parliament occurred unofficially since King Rama VII's reign. His Majesty King Rama VII gave royal instructions to Chao Phraya Mahithorn, Chancellor of the Ministry of Murathathorn, to read the opening of the meeting at the first meeting of the House of Representatives after the change of government on June 28, 1932, at the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall.

The Thai parliament's opening ceremony is similar to the British parliament's opening ceremony. The head of state, the king or queen, will dress in full regalia with a robe and a royal crown, ride to parliament in a traditional horse-drawn carriage, and deliver a royal speech to open the meeting.State ceremonies, by the way, are events or ceremonies managed by the government and presided over by the King.
