        4th July is Independence Day of the United States from the rule of the United Kingdom. This passed a referendum on the Declaration of Independence from the United Kingdom.

        Americans will take this opportunity to return to their families to spend time together. By far the most popular activity is picnics, barbecue and cooking parties. The popular menu of the day usually includes salmon, which is abundant in July.

        On this day, American flags are adorned in homes and places. On this day, Americans eat more than 150 million hot dogs.

        More than 15,000 fireworks are lit each year in celebration of American Independence Day. More than 300,000 Americans come to Washington to watch fireworks and celebrate National Day.
