Unification of Germany is an event that occurred in the year 1990 when the Democratic Republic of Germany (East Germany) and the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) unites the country into the only democratic Germany and united East Berlin and West Berlin into one city as well.
Today is also counted as German Unity Day (Tag der deutschen Einheit).
