130 years of "Sherlock Holmes"

        October 31 marks the 130th anniversary of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's first publication of the detective novel of the century, "Sherlock Holmes," in 1892. 

        The first edition of Sherlock Holmes, titled The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, tells the story through the eyes of Dr. Watson, the assistant of Sherlock Holmes, a skilled London detective who uses forensic science skills to investigate and prove cases based on evidence and unexpected observations. This is based on the author's own medical career.

        Since the first publication, Doyle has written 60 Sherlock Holmes series, 4 novels, and 56 short stories, which have been adapted into radio dramas, TV series, and movies several times.
