The next step is the official certification of results, which must be completed within 60 days, or by April 9, 2026. Once certified, all MPs must report to Parliament, and the first session must be held within 15 days to elect the Speaker of the House of Representatives and two deputies.
Parliament will then convene to nominate and vote for a Prime Minister. After the royal appointment and the ake an oath of allegiance ceremony, the Prime Minister will select a Cabinet for royal approval.
Finally, the new Cabinet will take their oath and present their policy statement to Parliament within 15 days of their appointment. Based on this timeline, Thailand is expected to have a new government by May or June 2026.
