ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) was founded with the goal of promoting and cooperating in areas of peace, security, economy, knowledge, society, and culture on the basis of equality and mutual benefit among member countries. Cambodia, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar, the Philippines, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, and Indonesia are the 10 current members.
