        Catch the trend of "Khao Soi," the best soup in the world according to Tasteatlas rankings, surpassing all-time favorite Thai soups like Tom Kha Kai (13) and Tom Yum Kung (16).

        The website describes the taste of Khao Soi as “A signature dish of Northern Thailand, khao soi is a delicious coconut soup in which numerous regional influences were combined to create a truly spectacular dish. The base of the soup is a slightly spicy broth which combines coconut milk and red curry paste. The broth is served with flat egg noodles and a choice of meat, which usually includes chicken, beef, and pork. It is topped with a handful of crisp fried noodles and chopped cilantro. The dish is commonly served alongside a variety of condiments such as fresh lime, pickled cabbage, shallots, and chilis.”

        In Thailand, there are two recipes for Khao Soi: Khao Soi Jeen Hor, which was influenced by the Islamism Chinese who traveled through Chiang Mai to trade. Another source is a Burmese dish called Anu Khao Sawe (Anu means coconut milk and Khao Sawae means noodles), which is a Thai Yai style curry noodle dish that has been modified to become a Khao Soi that Thai people enjoy.
         
Thai cuisine includes a wide variety of soups, curries, and stews, including Tom Klong, Kaeng Som, Kaeng Lueang, Oxtail Soup, Kaeng Per, Kaeng Kae, Tom Som, Tom Jew, Kaeng Ran Juan, Tom Kathi, and many others.
