The Gutenberg Project is an e-book collection of copyrighted and publicly available books. All steps are carried out by volunteers.
There are currently more than 60,000 books available to read and download for free in both pdf and e-pub.
Most of the books are in English with a variety of fields including classic literature, fiction, general knowledge, technology, engineering, and more.
The site is free, but donations can be made to manage the project.
