The Democracy Monument is located on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, at the intersection with Dinso Road. It was constructed to commemorate the 8th anniversary of the 1932 Siamese Revolution, June 24.

The monument features four wings with a height and radius of 24 meters (symbolizing the 24th day), encircled by 75 cannons (symbolizing 2475 B.E.). Relief sculptures at the base of the wings depict the history of the Khana Ratsadon (People's Party), the group that initiated the revolution. The Constitution Bowl (Phan Ratthathammanun) is mounted on the central pedestal, standing 3 meters high (symbolizing the 3rd month of the year, June, according to the old Thai calendar). Six swords adorn the gates around the central pedestal (representing the Six Principles of the Khana Ratsadon).

The Democracy Monument is also serves as Thailand's Kilometer Zero marker for Phahonyothin Road, Sukhumvit Road, and Phetkasem Road.
