Birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess
Hemvadi, the roots of the name "Hemvadi Pitak"
Princess Hemvadi was born
on January 12, 1892. She was the
daughter of King Chulalongkorn and Chao
Chom Manda Hem from the Amatayakul
family. She'd had a talent for
craftsmanship since her youth. She is
fond of handicrafts such as knitting,
crochet, and cross stitch, or even
marble carving.
Princess Hemvadi once
lived with Chao Chom Manda Hem in the
Saun Sunandha palace, which is now part
of the College of Innovation and
Management. The palace was demolished
and replaced with the Hemvadi Pitak
Building, also known as Building
37.
