complete this year, and irrigation will

Nang Songkran is a Thai folklore
associated with the Songkran festival.
According to legend, Nang Songkran are
the seven daughters of Thao Kabil Phrom.
Their father was beheaded, but with the
divinity of power, if the head falls to
the ground, fire will consume the earth;
if thrown into the air, rain will dry;
and if thrown into the ocean, water will
dry. Each year on Songkran Day, the
seven daughters are in charge of
carrying Thao Kabil Phrom's head in
a parade around Suamne Mountain. By
stating that Songkran Day is April 13,
which can fall on any day, Nang Songkran
of that day must be
paraded.
