Auguste Rodin (12th November 1840 – 17th November 1917) was a French sculptor famous for making sculptures. Some works are inspired by Dante's poems. Major works such as The Gates of Hell, a reproduction of a scene in Dante's anthology Inferno, and The Thinker, depicting a contemplative portrait of Dante.
