The Academic Resource Center is honored to welcome new students for the academic year 2023. We sincerely hope that all students enjoy their time spent at the Suan Sunandha like a full bloom Kaeo chao chom in this Educational Park.

        Kaew Chao Chom (Lignum vitae), the flower of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. They are a single flower that is blue-purple or indigo blue in color, with yellow pollen. When the petals are about to fall, their color fades, giving Kaew Chao Chom beautiful gradations of blooming flowers. Kaew chao chom blooms all year round and gives off its fragrance during the day time from noon to evening.

        Kaeo Chao Chom is not a native Thai plant; it originated in the West Indies. The tree was brought from Indonesia by King Chulalongkorn in 1908 and planted at Suan Sunandha Royal Park. Originally, it was called Nam Orb Farang, which refers to the smell of the flowers. Krom Phra Suttha Sininat Piyamaharaj Padiwarada gave them a new name, Kaew Chulachom, which later changed to Kaew Chao Chom.
