National Book Week Returned!!!



        National Book Week was held for the first time in 1972 by the Department of Academic Affairs, Ministry of Education with the National Book Development Board later joined the event by Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand. The first event was held on the grounds of the National Theater.

        After that, the venue was moved to several locations including Lumpini Park, Hor Wang School, Thong Sanam Luang, Teachers Council of Thailand, and Luk Luang Road next to the Ministry of Education. Later in the year 1998 it was moved to permanently organize the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

        After the closure of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, the National Book Week has moved to the Exhibition and Convention Center, IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani and BITEC.

        The 50th National Book Week in 2022 will be held at Bang Sue Central Station. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Book Week and the 125th anniversary of the State Railway of Thailand.
