Food Security is a state in which people have the physical and economic ability to access adequate, safe and nutritious food at all times.
FAO (The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) has divided the components of food security into 4 areas: Food Availability, Food Access, Food Utilization, and Food Stability.
There are many factors affecting food security over time, such as global warming, declining agricultural land, declining population affecting agricultural workers, economic recession, declining purchases, and conflicts at both global and local levels.
Thailand is an important cultivation area, able to produce a high volume and variety of food. But the problem of Thailand is the knowledge of nutrition, incorrect food. As a result, some Thais are still in a state of malnutrition (undernourished people). There are also other factors that may affect the production of food crops, food security as well.
