To commemorate the anniversary of the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Saisawali Bhirom, Princess Sudhasininat Piyamaharajpadivaradda, Royal Consort of King Chulalongkorn, on June 24th, the Information Resource Center respectfully directs your attention to the Thai cookbooks originating from Suan Sunandha Palace authored by the women responsible for the royal kitchen during the Rama V reign,

Princess Saisawali Bhirom was an expert in preparing a wide variety of sweet and savory foods, including both inherited traditional recipes and her own creations. She was graciously entrusted with overseeing the royal kitchen and food preparation throughout the reign.

These celebrated recipes were compiled and published by Chao Chom M.R. Sadab Ladawan as the Thai Cooking Book of Princess Wimada's Recipes, which significantly increased their recognition.

Presently, Kaew Chao Chom Restaurant, located at the Wang Suan Sunandha Hotel, serves a selection of Suan Sunandha royal Thai dishes include Gaeng Ranjuan, Yam Kai Yang Tao, Nam Phrik Long Rue, Tom Jiw, and Gaeng Ngao Ngod.
