Tim William Burton,
born August 25, 1958, has been
interested in painting and watching
movies since childhood. He made a stop
motion short animation when he was only
13 years old before attending the
California Institute of the Arts in
animation. After graduating, he worked
at Walt Disney in animation, graphic
design, and art director.
Tim Burton's
famous films often feature Johnny
Depp's collaborations such as Edward
Scissorhands (1990), Sleepy Hollow
(1999), Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory (2005) and Alice in Wonderland
(2010).
Tim Burton is widely regarded in the
film industry. He has received numerous
awards throughout his career including
Oscars, BAFTAs, Golden Globes and other
institutional accolades. He was also
chairman of the committee of the Cannes
International Film Festival in
2010.
