"Zero Shadow Day"
Today (April 27, 2026) at 12:16 PM, the sun will be "vertical" for the first time this year. If you stand outdoors, your shadow will appear directly beneath you, creating a "shadowless" effect. This "vertical sun" phenomenon began in southern Thailand on April 4 and will move northward until it reaches Chiang Rai on May 22, 2026.
This phenomenon is exclusive to regions located between latitudes 23.5°N and 23.5°S.
