he Statue of Liberty is a
bronze sculpture, 93.3 meters tall,
depicting the Roman goddess of liberty,
draped over a robe, holding a torch in
the right hand. The left hand holds the
United States Declaration of
Independence plaque and has the
inscription "JULY IV
MDCCLXXVI" or 4th July 1776. One
foot has a broken chain representing
liberation from slavery. Wearing a
seven-pointed crown, which symbolizes
the seven seas or the seven continents.
There are a total of 162 steps
inside.
The Statue of Liberty, located on
Liberty Island, New York Bay, was a gift
the French gave to Americans. On the
occasion of celebrating the 100th
anniversary of the National
Day.
