Her Majesty Queen
Sunandha Kumarirat is the 50th child of
King Mongkut, Rama IV, who was born on
November 10, 1860, to Queen Piyamawadi
Sri Patcharindra Mata, who later became
first queen during King Rama V's
reign and gave birth to a daughter, Her
Royal Highness Princess Kannaporn
Petcharat.
Her Majesty Queen Sunandha
Kumariratana, who was pregnant at the
time, and Her Royal Highness
Princess Kannaporn
Phetcharat, the royal daughter, drowned
while visiting the Bang Pa-In Palace in
the Chao Phraya River at Bang Phut
Subdistrict, Pak Kret District,
Nonthaburi Province, on May 31, 1880, at
the age of 21.
