ห้องสมุดในความทรงจำของทุกคนเป็นอย่างไรกันบ้างคะ

        ห้องสมุดสวนสุนันทาในความทรงจำของพวกเราที่นี่ ย้อนหลังไปสัก 20 ปีก่อน เป็นเพียงอาคารสองชั้น ชั้นล่างมีโถงโล่งตรงกลาง ส่วนชั้นบนมีระเบียงล้อมรอบห้องโถงให้มองลงมาข้างล่างได้และทำให้อาคารดูโปร่งโล่งขึ้น เฟอร์นิเจอร์ส่วนใหญ่เป็นไม้สีเข้ม ให้บรรยากาศเคร่งขรึมและเงียบสงบ สมเป็นห้องสมุดของวิทยาลัยครู

        ห้องสมุดสวนสุนันทาถูกเปลี่ยนชื่อหลายครั้งตามการเปลี่ยนแปลงสถานะของมหาวิทยาลัย ตั้งแต่ห้องสมุดโรงเรียนสวนสุนันทาวิทยาลัย หอสมุดวิทยาลัยครูสวนสุนันทา สำนักวิทยบริการแห่งสถาบันราชภัฏสวนสุนันทา จนกลายเป็นศูนย์วิทยบริการ สังกัดสำนักวิทยบริการและเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนสุนันทาในปัจจุบัน

        การเปลี่ยนแปลงนั้นเป็นธรรมดาโลก อาคารสองชั้นของห้องสมุดถูกรื้อถอนออก แล้วแทนที่ด้วยอาคาร 5 ชั้น เพื่อให้เกิดความคุ้มค่าในการใช้พื้นที่มากยิ่งขึ้น ห้องสมุดยังคงได้รับพื้นที่ 2 ชั้นเท่าเดิมคือ ชั้นลอย และชั้นสอง ของอาคารสำนักงานอธิการบดีและศูนย์วิทยบริการ ทำให้ห้องสมุดยังตั้งอยู่บนพื้นที่เดิม แต่มีความสะดวกสบาย ปลอดภัย ทันสมัย พร้อมให้บริการกับนักศึกษา อาจารย์ และผู้ใช้บริการทุกท่านยิ่งกว่าเดิม

What do you remember about your childhood library?

        Suan Sunandha Library, in our memory from roughly 20 years ago, was a two-story building with an open hall in the center of ground floor. The upper story features a balcony that encircle the hall, making the entire building appear more open and spacious. The majority of the furniture was made of dark-colored wood, which creates a serious and tranquil mood appropriate for a teacher’s college library.

        Suan Sunandha Library's name has changed multiple times due to changes in the university's status. From the Suan Sunandha College Library, Suan Sunandha Teachers College Library, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat Institute Library Service Center, to the Academic Resource Center of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

        The change happened normally. To make greater use of the available space, the two-story library building was removed and replaced by a five-story structure. The library stays to live on the mezzanine and second floors of the President's Office and Academic Resources Center building. Our library has been updated at its original location, in more convenient, safe, and modern. We are ready to serve students, teachers, and all users as before.
