        In the United States, Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November each year, which this year falls on November 27th. In Canada, where winter begins early, it is celebrated in October.

        Since Thanksgiving is a major holiday centered on family reunions, the multi-day holiday period is consistently one of the busiest travel times of the year in the United States and Canada.
